Radio Free Katy is a publication for the lighter side of Katy. As a Watchdog publication, we look to deliver news and other pertinent information but don’t want to take ourselves too seriously – in other words, we will lampoon public figures, stories, and ourselves from time to time. This is not to berate. If you feel we’ve gone over the line, let us know.
Our editorial policy is simple: no harsh language and if stating a fact, make sure it is a fact, when stating an opinion, identify it as such.
We strive to bring news to the taxpayers of Katy. We’re not here to take the place of the Houston Chronicle, the Katy Times, the Katy Courier nor the Katy Sun. We are an official publication of the Katy Citizen Watchdogs and we want to begin a dialogue with you, the reader. We do not discriminate as to your background or your beliefs and will make every attempt to include your views within the structure of this on-line publication.
If any item that is represented as a fact and, in your opinion is not, please contact us and we will do everything in our power to examine the issue and answer your concerns.
This is not a professional publication. We are not members of the media. We are but simple taxpayers that want more bang for our buck from the Katy Independent School District and our elected officials. But we’re also members of the Katy community and as such, we do not want to ignore what’s happening here, where we live. So if you have something of interest that you want to share with your fellow taxpayers, drop us a line and we’ll get back to you. If you want to write an Opinion/Editorial, regardless of what view you hold, then we ask that you submit it to our editor for publication. If you agree or disagree with us, let us know. We’ll publish your opinions in our Letters section.
